CIC Energigune is the Energy Cooperative Research Centre with headquarters in Vitoria – Gasteiz which aims to become an international benchmark in its field. The centre has the backing of public institutions and administrations, and of companies directly related to the energy sector being them CIC Energigune’s main objective for meeting their industrial needs. CIC Energigune focuses in four main points: Excellence research, transfer of knowledge and research, high level training and coordination of R&D&I work undertaken. To a large extent, CIC Energigune is in charge of meeting the targets set in the Basque Energy Strategy of the Basque Country 2020 (3E2020). CIC energigune is The coordinator of Monbasa project and will lead the management of project, development of materials, design of thin-film full cell as well as exploitation, dissemination and communication tasks.
Dr. Miguel Ángel Muñoz-Márquez is Associate Researcher at CIC energiGUNE and the Coordinator of MONBASA. After more than 10 years research experience, Dr. Muñoz-Márquez has been working in battery research during the last 5 years with particular focus on probing the surface and interface phenomena with a wide variety of experimental techniques such as photoemission spectroscopy and scanning probe microscopy.
